I've been deciding on whether to buy a 3DS or the 3DSXL. The XL is $30 more expensive, but I don't think that will be a problem because of the specifications.
The XL has 90% larger screens. It has larger battery power. It comes with 4gb SD card compared to 2gb SD card from the 3DS. The larger memory will be good for me because the game that I will be buying, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, has a lot of DLC songs (which I will be buying as well).
The larger screens will be good since I'm sure there will be audiences watching as I play TFF.
They say that the 3D is still not that good as you are out of alignment from the screen. I don't really mind about that because I've heard that TFF does not use the 3D effect much, which means even more battery power! I doubt that Pokemon X and Y will make the most of the 3D as well. In short, switch the 3D on a low setting or better yet switch it off.
The 3D camera is still small in resolution, but I will just use it for fun, not for memorable photos and stuff, since you can't print a 3D picture. You can't also upload them to social networking sites for sharing. I don't really care about that much either.
Now there is no second analog stick, but what do I care? TFF is a touch screen game. All you need to do is touch the screen with the stylus!
I'm sticking with 3DS XL. My cash is almost ready. I can't wait to buy one!
