After my first class, I have 4 hours break. I got a call from my oral surgeon that I should report immediately. The stitches placed must be removed because it's been a week after my surgery. Otherwise, infection might occur.
I went there from school (costly bus fee), did what must be done, and back to school (costly bus fee again!). I made it back in time for my next class.
I should've gone there yesterday, since I'm free the whole day yesterday.

4-3 - FFX (PAL Version)
I just finished downloading a copy of FFX PAL Version. I have a copy of the NTSC Version, but the special features of the PAL version like the dark aeons and penance, and the expert sphere grid are not there. I want to experience all these!
The differences that I have noticed aside from the ones mentioned above:
What I did to Kimahri is, I let him go to Yuna's path, then at the junction, go to Rikku's path because of steal and the AGI build for the ronso battle at gagazet.

- The PAL version runs faster on the emulator (because of 50 Hz, I guess)
- The party seems to level up slower in the PAL version (maybe because the expert grid has fewer nodes)

My classmate got his own FF5 for his iPad mini (jailbreak actually).
I checked it, looked if there is any difference between it and the other versions.
I think there is no difference between the IOS version and the advance version. The sprites were only improved, and diagonal movement is enabled. That's it!
It's just a porting, not a remake! Square Enix, why won't you have a remake of this on the 3DS or the DS, just like what you did with FF3 and FF4? Come on! Make the buyers of 3DS worthy of buying them! (like me, because of TFF, FF3, and FF4)

3-30 - Black Saturday
Today the pain from the surgery starts to lessen. I'm totally fed up from eating porridge again and again. I wanted to eat other food!
Today I ate pizza, rice and chicken. I missed eating these! I am just being careful in chewing, making sure I don't hit the areas of surgery.
I can go out already. Today I attended the Easter Vigil mass.

The same routine again.
I could not attend the veneration mass today because I'm still in pain.
Every Good Friday here in the Philippines it's very hot, especially when it's 3 p.m. already. The heat is not good for me because it might induce bleeding again. That's why I only drink cold water.

When I get up in the morning, I can already feel the pain because the effect of the painkiller wore off during my sleep.
I can't eat almost everything! My meals consist of porridge and cold water only!

3-26 - Goodbye Wisdom Tooth
I scheduled today for my oral surgery. Too bad I have to skip some of my classes for this. I chose this day so I can recover during the Holy Week break since I still have classes after that.
I had both wisdom tooth removed so I will just have to do it once (and have to go through the pain only once). It's time to go through the pain.

After the busy days for my parents' silver wedding anniversary party, I finally have time to start the Mega Assignment.

3-23 - No Grad Ball
Today I just stayed home. I did not attend the graduation ball because my date is not going. She was not allowed to go. Her mom is strict. I feared that, but I can't force her. I understand her situation.
It's okay that I did not go to the grad ball because as I viewed the attendees on Facebook, I saw that not many of my friends are going. Only about 10 of the people I know attended the grad ball.
The bad thing is that I missed a once in a lifetime event. The good thing is that I saved the money that I was supposedly going to spend for the grad ball.

3-22 - Leveled Up Too Much
Today, many of my classes are suspended. First, in my three-hour laboratory class, the professor did not come. Another lecture class, the professor also did not come because he was busy.
During these no class time, I just played Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on my 3DS. I started with Faris at level 1. At the end of the day, Faris is already at level 90. Too much playing!

3-21 - Boredom at the Library
During my four hour break today, I stayed in the library. I have nothing to do so I just played Final Fantasy Tactics on my laptop. The game gets harder and harder.
I'm just not sure if my team is under leveled, or I'm using the wrong team, or the enemy team is just so strong. Maybe I'm using the wrong tactics.

3-20 - Repairing
Today I repaired my dc power supply. This was my project for Electronics 1 during the first term.
I replaced the regulator and the capacitors. Now my power supply can be used.
My speakers run on 9 volts DC, and the power supply is used here. I tried it by using my 3DS and played some songs. It worked.

3-19 - Unlocked All TFF Characters
Unlocking characters in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a pain. To unlock them eight shards of a color are to be collected. These are collected in the Chaos Shrine.
I played a lot of Dark Notes to unlock them. The problem when a character is already unlocked, the shard of the unlocked character is sometimes received. The playing of the Dark Note just becomes a waste of time. It's extra painful when the last one is to be unlocked. I played Dark Notes a lot of times because I always keep on getting the wrong shard.

Midterm grades. These are some of the problems I am having right now. This happens every term. I always hope I don't get any failing mark, even for midterm.

3-16 - R4 for DS/3DS
One day I went to a game shop.I saw this R4, which is for DS to 3DS. I asked what that was for. I was told it is a cartridge which makes downloading DS games possible. At first I was wondering what that was.
I then remembered some people I know who are playing DS games without changing game cartridges. I remembered it, then I did not like it.
It's like getting the games for free, illegally. When it comes to these consoles, I don't like hacking and illegal games. The R4 might even damage my 3DS. I would rather save money for games than do that.

3-14 - R.I.P. PIC Circuit
I tried repairing our PIC circuit last week, and now is the time to test if it's still alive.
It didn't work. I had our professor check on it. He told us to put another IC in out circuit, because he believes the IC is the one damaged. It still did not work. I put our IC in another circuit. It works, but our circuit is dead!
I can't calm down because of what happened. I kept on screaming "Thank you for destroying our circuit!" and etc.
I asked our professor before the end of the class what about our grade. He just considered ours because of the number of students who used it.

3-13 - Last Day to Hang Out With Her at Her School (Maybe)
I visited her again today, because I think this will be the last day I will see her if she can't go with me to the graduation ball. She will be having her final exams and will be busy.
I visited her and found out that today all the students need to clear their lockers of their things. It means her school bag is full of books and looks like it's gonna explode. I helped her bring her stuff. Heavy for me, but I still carried it just because I wanted to help her. She can't bring all of them. I'm trained for that, so I'm fine with it.
She was busy with a group project, so I stayed and guarded her things as she go and finish it. I met her sister, and we talked about our plan which did not succeed yet, but is still ongoing. I told her to just bear with it for the last week, and it will all be over. She loves her sister, and knows what's good for her.
What's worse than a bag full of books? Two bags full of books! I helped carry both their bags. More weights for me! It was a nice workout for me, because my body really needs it.
They thanked me for carrying their things. I know that tomorrow, my body will ache from all these carrying, but I don't mind. I'm used to that, and it doesn't kill.

We had our practical exam today, and most of us are very disappointed at the result.
We forgot the procedures, so we can't get any data that is needed for solving. We were only able to write down the formulas, and that's it.
We are all feeling down that we took a class picture.
There are two who did well in the practical exam. We did not include them in the picture cause they don't belong with us! XD

3-10 - Filming Again
It's been so long since I last took videos, and edited videos for my Final Fantasy fan film. The first two episodes were posted months ago. Until now, no new episode was finished.
I don't have much time to do that anymore... for now! I'm taking up engineering and I'm getting busier and busier. I only got the time today because it's the end of the midterm week.
I'm still keeping my hopes up. My fan film is NOT a dead project. I just need free time (which I don't have until the term ends in April.)
How ironic. I started this episode as early as August, because I finished the script earlier than the two episodes before it. Now it is the episode that is not yet finished.
I just filmed the last parts of the episode. The only thing I need now is editing these last parts, which is very hard because these are battle scenes.
Another thing. How am I going to have time to film, when I am currently... never mind. I would post that another day because it's a very long story.

3-9 - I Asked Her Out
I have a graduation ball to attend two weeks from now and I still don't have a date. There is only one girl who I could think of to be my date.
I went to my high school today (Yes, that school has Saturday classes) because that's where she's currently studying. At first I was a little nervous because I don;t know what she's gonna say when I invite her.
I took it slowly. I told her that I was attending a graduation ball, and I wanted to bring a partner with me. Then I told her that I want her to be my partner, if she wants to.
To my surprise, she was glad I asked her. She said that she wanted to see a graduation ball. Yeah, I know how that feels, because our school NEVER organizes a graduation ball when we graduate. Our batch did not have a graduation ball because we don't have funds.
She wanted to go, but it will depend on whether her mom allows it.
I hope she will be allowed. I want to spend quality time with her, without someone ruining our moment. I just wanted to be with her.

3-8 - Fire Emblem Awakening Opinion
Okay. First of all, I don't own the game yet. I just downloaded the demo.
The graphics are nice. The main character is great, with the ability to use both a sword and a tome. Placing units side by side is beneficial due to supports. Some tiles can even increase a characters stats.
I wanted this game badly. I loved playing Fire Emblem since my friend showed Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones to me. It's a great strategy game that requires careful planning. I especially loved the battle sequences especially the critical attacks of a swordsmaster.
I checked this on the store, and it disappointed me. It's expensive! I don't have enough cash yet because I just bought a 3DS XL, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy III (DS), and a screen protector bundle. I was even planning to buy Pokemon Heartgold, which is also expensive.
I just hope the price will drop somehow in the future.

I tried repairing the PIC circuit through changing the input wires used. There could be a problem there since what I saw is the LED indicator not turning on. I will get to try this next week because of lack of time, and other groups are also testing their PICs and relays.
How could our PIC not be damaged? Almost all groups used our circuit to practice programming and to test the relay. I'm not even sure if they know how to correctly connect the parts, and that can damage the circuit, maybe the oscillator. Our PIC circuit and another group's PIC circuit are the only ones that work. Other groups used ours because we were the first ones to finish.
I was so mad that I did not let any group borrow my alligator clips. I don't know who to track down for damaging our circuit, so everyone gets to suffer the consequences.

3-6 - Finished Final Fantasy III (DS)
I finished FF3 without any job mastery item. The final boss is easy, provided you got the right items.
I leveled up my team high enough because I don't want to get killed in the middle of this ultra-long dungeon. If that happens, I would start at the beginning of this dungeon, and I hate doing that. There will be no save states to help me this time because I'm playing this on a 3DS.
The time on the final dungeon took me two hours! What if I get killed on the final battle? It means I wasted almost two hours!
This is the pain of classic games before save points in dungeons were invented.

3-4 - The End of Mega Assignment 1
Today is the submission of mega assignment 1. I am relaxed as I finished the homework. I was just adding the final touches a few hours before the deadline. Starting early was worth it.

3-3 - Some Shopping for Laboratory
Today I bought a lot of alligator clips as these are needed badly for the practical exam next week in Electonics 3 Laboratory.
I bought this for our group and not for the whole class. I hate being the class warehouse because they don't care if something happens to my stuff. Hate 'em!

After having enough Final Fantasy III on my 3DS, I've decided to buy Final Fantasy IV, for the DS (playable on 3DS).
The problem is, there is no stock on the stores that I know (and trusted). I've been through a lot of branches and still no FFIV.
I wanted it so much because:
1. Rydia
2. Rosa
3. It's nice to play it again, but now on 3D graphics and not just sprites. (and portable [coz I never had this on the psp (yet) and the gba ).
4. Wanna try the augment system.
5. Emulator with this game sucks because of lag.

I got three exams on Tuesday, on three STRAIGHT classes. 1-3, 3-5, and 5-7 p.m. This is a problem for having straight classes without breaks.

2-28 - Class Warehouse... Literally!
In laboratory class, only two PIC circuits from all the groups in class worked. Now that is a problem. To test the relay, the PIC is needed. All the other groups who wants their relay tested borrowed our PIC. Other stuff like alligator clips and connectors are needed for the power supply. Who supplied them? Me.
Who owns the screwdriver that was used to secure the parts of the mobot? Me again. Who supplied the electrical tape? Me again.
I have a toolbox with all the stuff needed, so all the stuff comes from me. The problem? All groups rely on me!
I just hope all these supplying of stuff will increase my chance of passing.

2-27 - 3DS Prepaid Card
Today I bought a $20 3DS Prepaid Card. I loaded my account in Nintendo eShop and now I can buy online content.
I bought some add-on songs for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Each song costs $0.99 but there is tax. Come on, it's a digital copy. Why add tax? I put the zip code of a relative in U.S.A. because I have no choice. It's an 8% increase in price.
Great, now I'm two songs down from my target which is 20 songs. I was only able to buy 18 songs. Now I'm thinking if I will buy the other songs by loading my account again. The prepaid card is expensive in our country!

2-26 - Mega Assignment
On today's 4-hour break, I spent three hours in the library doing the mega-assignment. It's very long, and is very boring to do. What's more? On one part of the library, it is very quiet. I picked that spot so I can focus, but after an hour, I began to feel sleepy. I just told myself that time is running out and just finish it.
I finished about a third of the assignment on this day. Who in their right minds would want a very long assignment that is handwritten?

2-25 - Busy with Sending Mognet
People replied to my post and I can now send mail through Mognet. The limit for sending mail is one per hour Every hour I would send a mail until I sent 7 mails because that is the requirement to unlock other features.
After sending 7 mails, I stopped sending already because it's enough. I just continued on with the sidequests. Iron Giant, you are going down!

2-24 - Mognet on Final Fantasy III
In Final Fantasy III DS, Mognet is required to unlock other features of the game. I've been searching for players in Facebook Fan Pages but no one replies to my posts. I guess they don't play the game anymore.
I wanted to unlock the other features, so I tried to search in Gamefaqs boards. Many are still playing there so I decided to make an account. I posted a topic and I was expecting a reply as soon as possible. With different timezones I don't think I will receive a reply immediately.
I just waited for the next day and then I hope I will get a reply.

2-23 - Graduation Ball
My previous school is having a graduation ball on March. I was planning to go to this once in a lifetime event for our batch. I asked if I can attend though I transferred already. I got a reply and I am allowed. Right now I'm thinking if I will bring a partner or not, and if yes, who.
It's still weeks away but I'm also worried about my schedule. Engineering life. I'm not even sure who will come so will going there be worth it or not.
There is someone I am thinking for my partner but the problem is if she will be allowed. This is usually the problem of many. I just hope she will be allowed and she will accept my invitation.

2-22 - Rainy Day
It's been raining the whole morning, and our school does not suspend classes yet. At noon, the rain stopped. At around 1:30 p.m. it rained again. Come on, suspend already.
During these days, our school is one of the last schools standing. The problem with late suspension is, we are already stranded when the announcement is made.
In the end, there was no suspension because there was no flood. Good decision of the school.

2-21 - Program IC (PIC)
We learned today in our laboratory how to program ICs. It's very easy!
We used that for basics: Sequence of lights. For next week, here comes the more complicated part... mobot programming!
Now I wonder why programs for Christmas lights are very expensive. Ripoff!

2-20 - Batch Play
Back in high school, the Juniors have a Shakespearean play and the Seniors have a Passion Play. For this year, the Shakespearean Play is Merchant of Venice.
I came a few minutes late so I was not able to start the play. The story was nice. I just did not know if I understood the story correctly. Some parts were confusing. I think I'm reading that on summer.
After the 1st play there was a break, so I went down. I saw s.s. and I told her how boring it was in the balcony (I'm a graduate and I just came back to watch). I don't have batch mates watching.
I asked if I can sit in the area where she was sitting, and she agreed. Then there "he" was and he saw us together, again! I bet he's jealous again.
The Passion Play is kinda boring, but I understand how hard it was to make it not boring. When I was a senior, Our play is 5 people you meet in heaven passion of Christ version. Ours was also boring.
The only Passion Play that I remembered was not boring is waaaay long ago. They made some parts into a musical. That was nice.

2-19 - The Pain of Final Fantasy 3
Final Fantasy III on the DS is just a remake and an American localization. But this remake is not like the other remakes that is easy to finish. This has the same difficulty of the original version, maybe harder.
A character gets killed in the middle of the dungeon. Choose: exit the dungeon and heal; use raise (what if out of mp); use the rare phoenix downs.
This is the first final fantasy where I felt the pain of starting the dungeon again when the party is defeated since it is on an actual DS, not emulators where save states are available. I took that as a challenge.
Thanks to teleport, exiting dungeons are easy (except when white mage is down). The problem is entering the dungeon AGAIN.

For our subject Transmission Media and Antenna, we got a major assignment. We are to answer all the questions on the end of a specific chapter for three books. And the time alloted, 2 weeks.
Great. Less game time for me. As if this is the only subject I have this term. Come on, I have 4 four more major subjects taken this term.
On the bright side, This will be my review for the midterm exams.

2-17 - Screen Guard?
The screen guard of my 3DS XL kinda sucks. It now has a lot of scratches. I realized that the scratches are now affecting my gameplay when I played Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, When I slide the stylus across the screen, I could feel the rough parts of the screen.
This also kinda affected the visuals of Final Fantasy III. FFIII plays the game on the lower part of the screen, but with the scratches, the visual is affected.
I don't understand. The screen guard I bought was expensive and was from a gaming store. Why would that happen to the screen guard? Maybe DS screen guards are destined to do that.

2-16 - Mad at Me? So What?
I visited s.s. today at her school. (Our school has classes on Saturdays and no classes on Thursdays opposed to all high schools having no classes on Saturdays.)
I met her, and I showed her my 3DS XL. I told her about this last July and how I decided to buy one. The cover page of the card I gave her for Valentine's Day shows a picture of Terra (Theatrhythm Final Fantasy) greeting her. I showed her the game because she wanted to know where the cute picture came from.
I then let her play the game itself. She loved the game a lot. Only there did I realize that she is a lefty like me as she used the stylus. We played some songs, and had a nice time together.
Or did it last?
Some friends of mine says that "he" is very mad at me. I just laughed it off because there is no particular reason for him to be mad at me. Why would he be mad at me? They weren't even together. I know the rule when there is a couple, but this is NOT a couple. "He" just thinks they are.
Then "he" came, and took her attention away from me. My reaction: Come on, can't you even ask me first before you do that? That's so rude! Jealous crazy dude.
My younger sister is with me so I told her to call the sister of s.s. for backup in case "he" decides to argue with me. He just doesn't know the truth yet, and when he does, he'll regret doing all of what he did to separate me and s.s.
First, he ruined my school fair date. Now, he ruined my somewhat post-Valentine's Day date.
I met her sister and told her what happened. Now our plan is in progress. I told her maybe it is the right time to plead to s.s. to stop all these madness. I told her to continue what I have started. I made a good start and now it is in her hands now. I hope our mission will succeed.

After "he" is gone, s.s. thanked me for showing her my 3DS and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. She told me she enjoyed the game. Another point for me! XD

2-15 - A Promise
Today I went to my high school to fetch my sister. I was planning to talk to my special someone but with the same problem, "he" won't leave her again. I met my special someone's younger sister and I told her about what happened during the school fair, and last Wednesday (V. Day Phase 1).
I told her about the wrong move that I did, but she told me that it's fine. "He" really is a problem to my special someone (s.s.), and what her sister wants is for me to help her end the problem. She wants me to make him jealous so he would feel hopeless and leave s.s. alone. She sees me as the savior of s.s.
I myself also felt that he is a burden to s.s. I wanted to help her, but I don't know what to do. I feel sorry for her having to be burdened by someone crazy like him.
Her goodbye message to me when she left is, "End it tomorrow!" I replied, "I'll do my best to end it!"
And that is a promise.

2-14 - Phase 2 of My Valentine's Day Plan
Happy Valentine's Day!
First, I gave a rose to my classmate in my first class. It is just a fake rose I bought yesterday because my class is 7 in the morning and I don't think I will have time to buy one without getting late for class. She wasn't expecting it because this is only the second term that we've been classmates and we're not even that close.
Noontime, I was wondering where my P.E. classmates were having their class. I was planning to give them roses by surprise. I saw one of them and asked where the others were. She just told me to surprise the others after their 3-5 p.m. class. She told me the room and who will be there.
I bought three single roses since there are only three girls. I went outside their room at around 4:30. When they went out of the room, I gave them the roses. Of course, only one of them was expecting it. The other two have no idea I was giving them roses. They were really glad because even though we were only classmates for only a term, I never forgot them.

Target for Next Year: More, but heavily depends on money.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, but tomorrow my friends who are currently in high school do not have classes tomorrow, so I planned to give them roses today.
I bought two single-roses, and a 3-piece roses for my special someone. A friend of mine saw that I am holding them. She asked me who the roses are for. Little did she know that a single rose is for her. She wouldn't believe when I gave her the rose. She asked me if I'm serious in giving her that rose. If I'm not serious, why would I be giving her the rose? She wasn't expecting it.
The second single rose I gave to another of my friend. She was busy so I wasn't able to talk to her, but she
thanked me for the rose. She also wasn't expecting it.
The 3-roses I gave to my special someone. She was also busy so I was only able to give them when she was about to leave. I just gave the roses and the card that I made to her in front of him. I think that was a wrong move. She was really happy when she took my gifts. She also was not expecting this. That night my special someone sent me an instant message saying how much she appreciated the roses and the card (especially the front page of the card). I can't help but smile when I read her message. This is the first time that I felt that my hard work was really appreciated. She was the only one who thanked me more than once.

2-11 - Internet Browsing on My 3DS XL
Out of curiosity, I tried the internet browser on my 3DS. It works like mobile browsing on a cellphone. The stylus is used to scroll on the pages, tap on the links, and type. Just like how you use the iPad.
I tried browsing on Facebook, and when I posted, it says via mobile. The 3DS is recognized as a mobile device because it does not fully display Facebook the way it is viewed on the laptop. The same way happens to the PSP.
The cool part of browsing, the page is viewed on both screens.

2-10 - Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! Wait, it's not January 1. Well, obviously, it's not! It's Chinese New Year!
We celebrate Chinese New Year the traditional way. There is a Chinese New Year mass. (Philippines has a lot of Filipino-Chinese) People wear red because it is the color of luck. The people receive a red pack also for luck.
What's a Chinese New Year without the firecrackers, the lion dance, and the dragon dance? No one celebrates Chinese New Year without these.

It's been a while since I last played the guitar. Since engineering life is hard, there is not much time to do something else.

Learning to play the guitar is hard at first. When I finally got the hang of it, I would play just any song by Taylor Swift. When I got addicted to the soundtrack of Final Fantasy series, I would search tabs of these songs.
For some special events like Valentine's Day, I would play it for the girl. Here in the Philippines we call it "Harana".

2-8 - Reporting
In our class, environmental science, we are required to report on a topic.
Now the flaws of most students who report is, they only read their powerpoint presentations. This is a big no-no. Only reading the presentation shows unpreparedness. Since I'm experienced at this, I already know how to avoid this.
I avoid putting long paragraphs in a slide because it shows that the student did not summarize anything, unless the whole paragraph is an important quotation. I prefer just using bullets as a summary.
Explaining what is in the slide is very important. Just reading it is very negative.
I reported today and I think I did well. I hope I got a high grade.

2-7 - TFF on 3DS VS IOS
Before I played Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on the 3DS, I played it on the iPad. When I got my 3DS, I played TFF immediately. I noticed a lot of differences.
- Rhythmia - This is not present in the IOS version. Rhythmia is collected so you can unlock more stuff. 10000 Rhythmia even makes you play Chaos Shrine while fighting Chaos.
- Equipping skills and items - The IOS has set abilities for a character depending on the level, and only 2 abilities are active for each character.
- Event music - Also not present in the IOS, a lot is lost without this one around.
- Character stats - The stats are only represented by ranking letters, not precise numbers. I felt insulted when I leveled Terra to 99. Her stats suck. A rank D for attack, SS for magic, and B for agility and luck. No fair! The 3DS version has B for attack, a star for magic (rank higher than S), A for both agility and luck. Even her skills are not that useful.
- Stoic mode - Not present in the IOS version, stoic mode is a challenge where no skills and items are active but a 2 million points bonus will be awarded (3DS version only has 7999999 as highest without stoic)
- Dark notes - Where the fun starts. Dark notes features a lot of songs with different notes for each song. It's a nice challenge for those who get tired of playing the same scores again and again.

2-6 - My Reaction to Expensive Phones
Smartphones are very famous nowadays. A lot of companies are already making them. The question is, "Are these worth it?"
I own an old phone, Nokia X3. It's been with me for 2 years and 4 months. Several smartphones are now cheaper than my phone. I don't plan on selling it anymore because it is not sold in the market anymore. I spent my own cash on it. I'm not giving it away.
I can say that my phone is not the most functional phone around, but I still love it. It performs the basic functions that I am looking forward to: A phone, a music player, and a camera.
I did not like most smartphones because of one reason: battery. Lose all the battery power in a few hours and you're out! Battery is one of the advantages of Nokia phones that's why I prefer them. My Nokia X3 feels like it's designed for being heavy duty. It can last for several days.
I love insulting people who buy very expensive iPhones. Why would you buy an iPhone when you can buy iTouch and a separate phone? You can save more money that way.
I have my thoughts on buying an iTouch but this time, no. I just bought a 3DS recently and I have no money to spend.

I can say that my phone is not the most functional phone around, but I still love it. It performs the basic functions that I am looking forward to: A phone, a music player, and a camera.
I did not like most smartphones because of one reason: battery. Lose all the battery power in a few hours and you're out! Battery is one of the advantages of Nokia phones that's why I prefer them. My Nokia X3 feels like it's designed for being heavy duty. It can last for several days.
I love insulting people who buy very expensive iPhones. Why would you buy an iPhone when you can buy iTouch and a separate phone? You can save more money that way.
I have my thoughts on buying an iTouch but this time, no. I just bought a 3DS recently and I have no money to spend.
2-5 - Taking Care of My 3DS XL
Today I went to the same store where I bought the games for my 3DS.
I did not buy any games today. Instead, I bought a screen protector kit. The kit includes a carrying case, three game card cases, earphones, two spare stylus, two wrist straps and the screen guards. It was totally worth it, for a branded one.
It was kinda expensive, but I'm keeping them until I become a parent. Then it might go to my children. It is mine anyway, so I get to keep it.

2-4 - Annoying Things on Facebook
I log on to Facebook almost everyday and there is not a single day that I will not see those stories that people spam by sharing.
Posts include "Like for God", "A sick person with 1 like 1 prayer or whatsoever", "1 like 1 respect", "Share this story blah blah blah" and etc.
What do I do with these? I simply ignore them but come on! Seeing them EVERYDAY is really annoying. Idiots just fall for that, and attention seekers would abuse them.
There are also instances people will message you saying "Please like for a friend". What do I care? Do I know your friend? Are you really my friend outside of Facebook to ask me that?
Seriously, please stop these morons!

2-3 - My 3DS XL
My 3ds xl came last night, but it was already late and I'm already bery sleepy, so I set it aside.
I opened it this morning. At first I was wondering why the box is so heavy. The console itself is weighty, but it is because of the manuals. Thanks to the initial charge on the console, I was able to use it without charging it first. I set up the main settings and then I played Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. It's kinda hard to adjust to using stylus from using fingers to play the game. I then tried the 3d feature in the game. I chose ff7 event music and there we go. The 3d is amazing! The one who made the console is a genius!
My only problem with this, is charging the console. The charger is 110 volts and here in the Philippines, we have 220 volt outlets. I need to use a transformer just to charge it, which means I can't bring the charger to school. For now, I use the 110 volt socket in the computer's AVR. I'm going to need my personal AVR especially when travelling to the province.

2-2 - School Fair of my High School
Today and tomorrow are the dates of the school fair. I'm glad that I have no classes this day, so I accompanied my sister going there. It's always nice to be back visiting your alma mater. I first went to the booth of the Scouting Movement (long story, might be posting about this on another day.) Hanging out there is what I do because I don't want to spend.
After an hour of hanging out there, I decided to have a look around the school. I found a friend of mine whom I, together with other staff, trained last summer. She is with her sister making rounds selling doughnuts and cupcakes. I accompanied them.
We were selling them while making rounds to the other booths an school. After we sold the last of what we have, my friend's sister went back to her booth. I asked my friend to accompany me to eat lunch. She agreed, and we ate outside because the food in the fair is expensive, and is not enough for my appetite.
We ate at a nearby fastfood, while talking about a lot of things. I never get tired being with her, because there is so much to talk about. Back to the fair, we went back to the scouts' booth. We stayed there until the booth closed. After closing time of our booth, we had a look around the booths again.
It couldn't have been better if not for her batch mate who found us. A sidestory: This guy is someone who thinks he's close to her. I think he's annoyed when he found us together. He tried to separate us, but I think I know what he is up to so I did not fall for it. I am still talking stories to her so separating us won't be easy.
I think he's on to me; he told my friend that he wants to say something in private. My friend told me that, so fine. They left me. My thoughts: you took her from me! Now I don't. Have a companion! I didn't even get to say goodbye to her.
I think he is jealous of me because I'm a nicer person than he is.
That night, she texted my sister. She and my sister are close friends. They were talking about what this guy told her. I think it goes like this, "You don't mind me anymore because he is sweet to you."
I knew it! He is jealous of me!
I think I found the girl whom I will give a gift this Valentine's Day!

31 - The Step One in Project Making
Step One: Make the PCB
We started immediately, because we already got the materials ready. We were the first group to make the actual PCB. We were a step further than the other groups because we already drilled holes for the components. On the next meeting we will just solder them and were done! All that s left to do is to test if it works.
I can say that being experienced is an advantage. Thanks to the tutorial made from my other school, I learned the PCB making before the others did. Well, two terms ago.

30 - Our Project in Electronics 3 (Pulse and Switching)
Our project is to make a programmable IC and make the mobot move. I made the PCB layout of the circuit as soon as possible and uploaded it so my groupmates can see it. Now a classmate of mine, who isn't my group mate, and definitely not a close friend of mine, asked me to make her one.
My reaction: Are you lucky? I worked hard for the layout and I'll make another one for free? We're talking about grades here!
I did not help her in any way.
On another day, she sent me an instant message. I did not reply to her. My group mate told me what her intentions are. She requested that if they would not make a layout in time, they would request to copy mine.
I became even angrier. I would never accept that. It's too much.
The result: I made another layout which is smaller so I gave the other one to my other groupmates.

29 - Preparation for My 3DS XL Arrival
I spent today's 4 hour break shopping! Well, not really.
Since my 3DS XL is coming on Friday, I thought I'd prepare for its arrival. I went to a mall and went to the only trusted store when buying games. The good thing is it has many branches. I went to the branch which is closest to my school. I checked last night for the stock of the games I'm going to buy.
I bought 2 games: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (The reason why I bought a 3DS XL) and Final Fantasy III DS (In case I got fed up with the songs of TFF). I was also planning to buy the accessory kit (screen guard, casing, headphones, extra stylus, etc.) but I figured I didn't bring enough cash. Bringing large amounts of cash is not advisable because of the crime rate here in our country. I was just going to but that on another day.
One thing left to do. Wait for Friday.

28 - Permissions
I got home from school. I ate dinner. I then played a few songs on Theatrhythm Final Fantasy to warm up my brain before getting to work. I told my sister I'm getting to work and she started to wonder what I'm going to do. Turns out my laptop is not where it is supposed to be! My brother took it, without permission!
Now I'm goofing off, because everything I needed to do is there, especially the software. My laptop is the only available one which is fast enough for the software. I am not keeping any more files that are not mine so no one will be taking them without permission. I think it's time for another file cleaning.

Stupid changing weather! I got sick with fever. It's trouble because I have an exam on the next day. This engineering life is hard especially when sick!

My great grandmother passed away this morning. She should be turning 104 this February. Our whole clan is in mourning. She is not sick. She passed away because of old age.
25 - The Problem with Group Work
We are six in a group. This is a laboratory class. The main objective of having many members in a group is that the work can be divided. What really happens is that not all members participate in the experiment.
This just happened during the experiment. Not because I know how the equipment works means that I have to do all the work. Two members of our group did not even do anything. They won't even do the report. I feel sorry for one of my group mates because she is going to do everything. I would like to help her, but I'm very busy because my subjects are more advanced than what they are currently taking.
I just hope these two people will change on the next experiment. I hate these kinds of people.

I just loved playing Terra's Theme on Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. It's the one on the IOS. I wanted to do all critical on the ultimate score, but the most I can do is:

22 - Feral Chaos
I just defeated Feral Chaos. The battle was a joke! With Iai Strike hitting all the time, and each HP attack deals 9999 + 9999 damage, Feral Chaos is no match for me. He wasted my first fighter with just around 30k HP left from around 125k HP. My second fighter is worthless but it brought his HP from 30k to 10k. My third fighter did the finishing blow.
Now I can use him, but ex gauge and assist gauge are still locked. I need to level him up and equip the abilities that negate them. I just want to see his awesome EX Burst which turns off the screen.

21 - Our School Library
The library is supposed to be a nice place where you can concentrate on studying. In my school, it is the opposite. There is no chance that you can concentrate there. Instead of being quiet, the library is chaos. Noise is everywhere. The students talk loud like they are far from each other. I go there when needed but noise is always present.

20 - TFF on IOS
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on the IOS is free, but only two songs are available for playing. My brother just found out from his classmate that there is a way to get all songs without jailbreaking. I won't tell how because the temporary restraining order for cybercrime here in our country is almost expired.
I played all my favorite songs, both easy and hard. Even though the game is released on the IOS, there are still a lot of lacking components in the game compared to the 3DS version. One of them is the Rhythmia which is needed to progress the game. Another is the skill selection screen. I need to select the right skills for the different songs but I can't, and that makes the game harder. The Dark Note is also not there. I wanted to try that mode. The event songs are also gone. There is no "Theme of Love" or "Waltz for the Moon". The other event songs are changed to either battle music or field music. There are also additional characters and songs that were not in the 3DS version.
I am having troubles playing it on our iPad because of the screen's friction with my finger. Those swipe triggers are making me lose.
I am still going to buy the 3DS version and that IOS version is not going to stop me!

19 - DDFF's 99.9x Multiplier Iai Strike Build
I read this on an online forum. Defeating level 100 or higher enemies will be easy with the sure Iai Strike build. The requirements is to set the accessory multiplier to 99.9x and equip the Smithing Soul for the Iai Strike. A single bravery attack will put them to break.
This is an easy way to defeat Feral Chaos, but I'm still 3 gateways away from him so I haven't defeated him yet.

18 - My Schedule and How It Sucks
My schedule for this term is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. inclusive of the four hour break. I hate my schedule but the subjects don't have a better time slot. I need to take these subjects just so I can graduate soon.
The problem is whenever I get home, I am very tired. I just use the four hours break time for my homeworks.
I just hope this won't happen again on the following terms. At least it is not like my classmate's schedule which is 7-9 a.m. then 5-7 p.m.

17 - Timekeeper
I was assigned the timekeeper for our last class during Mondays and Thursdays. I am to inform our professor if it is five minutes before the class ends.
The problem? Those sitting near me urges me to tell our professor, even when it is not yet time. They don't need to remind me because I know my job. They just want to go home early. Those lazy people!
This happened for two meetings, and I have no idea if this will still happen on the next meeting. I hope it won't happen again. It's annoying!

16 - Movie Night
I wasn't able to post yesterday because I watched the premiere of Les Miserables, which ended at 12 midnight. The movie was nice, but I would have appreciated it better if I can better understand musicals.
That is my problem with musicals. Whenever I watch them, I always have a hard time understanding the show, especially the classics. That's why I did not appreciate The Phantom of the Opera very well. I also do not appreciate High School Musical.

15 - The Cold Climate Here in the Philippines
The days where there are longer nights than days has come.
Every school day I wake up at around five in the morning. The air is very cold. I try my best not to freeze while taking a bath (we don't have heater). The cold air makes me very sleepy.
I bring my jacket to school because with cold outside air comes cery cold air conditioning units.
When I get home, which is around 7:30 in the evening, I can't study because it's very cold. Same reason, the air makes me sleepy. Sometimes, I would just want to sleep because I don't feel well. It seems that my body is not used to this kind of climate.

There are a lot of things that I can do but I don't want to do because I don't want to spend. I can hang out, eat and eat, rent a PC and play in a computer shop, and other similar stuff. I don't want to do these because I am still saving money to pay for my 3DS XL which will arrive in a few weeks. I have also plans on buying some UMDs since our PSP is not running on custom firmware (I don't like hacking expensive gadgets).
If I brought my laptop to school I would need an area with an outlet since the battery of my laptop is broken. Also, I would just be playing, which is exactly what I'm trying to avoid because of major subjects. The same goes for bringing our PSP.
What I plan to do during these long breaks is doing assignments, studying, and hanging out at the school library. Other stuff I can do is thinking of scenes I can dub for FUNDUB Fantasy, and editing these videos. Something I just did can also be counted.
Writing blogs on a notebook so only retyping will be done when I get home.

13 - Fundub
I've seen many scenes from Final Fantasy being dubbed by people, especially those before FFX. Those videos are awesome, for they add more detail to a scene.
This looks fun, I thought. I thought of making one of these. There is just one problem. If the video of the scene is not available on YouTube, I would need to play the game again just to take a video of the scene, then dub it.
The first scene that I could think of is in Final Fantasy VI, where Locke first meets Celes. The second I could think of is Banon asking Terra for her help, in the Returners' hideout.

11 - Wrong System
Facebook is now a very popular website thanks to Mark Zuckerburg. Uploading photos and sharing them is too easy. Liking photos is also popular. There is a problem. Some people overuse the like feature.
There are instances when having to like becomes annoying. Someone posts into a group or sends you an IM and it says "Please like the photo and share." The problem, the more likes, the more chances of winning or, someone did this, higher grades!
So, how do you win? Flood your friends with messages to like and share the pic. Make multiple accounts. How do you pass? Do the same. So what if this person has only a few friends on Facebook? There will be minimal chances of winning. There would be low grades.
What is wrong with you people? Can't you just go with the traditional voting system so there would be no bias in the contest? As for the likes affecting the grades? What if the artwork is really nice, but with no likes? It is not the right way!
There are instances when having to like becomes annoying. Someone posts into a group or sends you an IM and it says "Please like the photo and share." The problem, the more likes, the more chances of winning or, someone did this, higher grades!
So, how do you win? Flood your friends with messages to like and share the pic. Make multiple accounts. How do you pass? Do the same. So what if this person has only a few friends on Facebook? There will be minimal chances of winning. There would be low grades.
What is wrong with you people? Can't you just go with the traditional voting system so there would be no bias in the contest? As for the likes affecting the grades? What if the artwork is really nice, but with no likes? It is not the right way!

10 - 3DS XL Update
My 3DS XL was bought months ago @ U.S. for only $190 inclusive of taxes because of a sale. I'm so overjoyed because it is a lot cheaper than the one sold here in the Philippines. Here in the Philippines, the most trusted dealer that I can find sells it for 9500 Pesos when paid with cash. Based on the Peso Dollar rate today, the one bought at U.S. costs around 7700 Pesos. It is a lot cheaper!
What's more funny, the ordinary 3DS costs 7750 when paid with cash. I can just insult my friends who will be buying these units for the upcoming Pokemon X and Y. I'll tell them "Hey! My 3DS XL costs as much as your 3DS! Trololololol!"
I'm so glad I informed my grandfather there about the unit. I wanna tell him when I receive the system that he did a job well done!

9 - 3DS or 3DSXL
I've been deciding on whether to buy a 3DS or the 3DSXL. The XL is $30 more expensive, but I don't think that will be a problem because of the specifications.
The XL has 90% larger screens. It has larger battery power. It comes with 4gb SD card compared to 2gb SD card from the 3DS. The larger memory will be good for me because the game that I will be buying, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, has a lot of DLC songs (which I will be buying as well).
The larger screens will be good since I'm sure there will be audiences watching as I play TFF.
They say that the 3D is still not that good as you are out of alignment from the screen. I don't really mind about that because I've heard that TFF does not use the 3D effect much, which means even more battery power! I doubt that Pokemon X and Y will make the most of the 3D as well. In short, switch the 3D on a low setting or better yet switch it off.
The 3D camera is still small in resolution, but I will just use it for fun, not for memorable photos and stuff, since you can't print a 3D picture. You can't also upload them to social networking sites for sharing. I don't really care about that much either.
Now there is no second analog stick, but what do I care? TFF is a touch screen game. All you need to do is touch the screen with the stylus!

8 - New Pokemon Game
Nintendo just announced Pokemon Generation VI and it will be on the 3DS. It will have nice 3D battle and 3D maps and more 3D stuff. They will be called Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.
This is good news for me since I got another reason to buy a 3DS. Since last year I've been planning to buy one for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Then I can add up DS games like FF3 and FF4 remakes since emulators on my laptop sucks because of the lag. No more "just for one game" reason for buying it. This is going to be my second Pokemon game on the actual console, the first is Gold Version.
I think I'll ask my friend what version he is buying before I'm buying mine so I can have a trade buddy. And since the 3DS features a memory card like the PSP, I think multiple save games will be possible.

7 - A New Blogging Strategy
The last few days of posting is always a day behind. I need a new strategy so I would not miss my blogging days again.
To not have hard time thinking of a topic to be posted, I will be writing the topic of the day in my planner.
When I'm away from my computer, when in school, I will be writing my draft blog on a notebook so I will just type it and not spend a lot of time in front of the computer thinking what to type.
I just hope this will help in my out-of-date posts.

6 - P.U.T.A. 4 Reminiscence
The term is about to start and training for P.U.T.A. will start.
I remember how horrible last season's experience was. That season became a performance that SHOULD win, not the usual just enjoy the dance and winning not the main objective. Every training night became a tiring night. We are falling behind in terms of completing the routine because in every training night, someone will be absent. WHERE IS THE DEDICATION? The training days are just wasted. That includes our energy.
I am forced to be a base lifter, something that I don't really like to do because my arms are unable to support very heavy weights. This is much harder because the one I lift somehow has a problem in maintaining balance with one foot. Most of my energy is depleted per training day during the mastering of this part.
I got tricked by a girl. When she found out that I got a crush on her, I think she abused it. She is one of the people who made me drunk one night during a team gathering. During her debut, I just requested for a photobooth with her, she said later and I agreed. Then she never did a photobooth with me. I kept reminding her about it, but she ignored them. I just wished she never invited me. I walked out with anger. Damn her attitude!
I got left out. I know I'm the quiet type, but that doesn't mean leave me literally. On a debut of another teammate, there was supposed to be a performance by the team. I volunteered to be one of the performers. I kept asking them when and where the practices will be. Since I transferred to another school already, they said they can't let me in their practices because they are going to practice in their school. Okay, I would just accept that but "how the hell did our coach teach the choreography of the dance?" He is not a student in their school. They could have practiced outside of school but still what the hell. No one would reply to my questions. Damn again! Some teammates they are.
Lastly, those useless college heads. They are supposed to help us, like help us reserve a training area, show up during our training, ask if any help is needed, give reminders, etc. What did they do? The only help I recognized is they teaching us the traditional cheers. What made me really mad is them telling the whole team that a video presentation introducing the team is required. When did they tell us that? The day before the actual performance at around 10 p.m. I'm in a rage because I'm the video editor. I told the team that I will be rushing the video the next day, since the performance is in the afternoon, and the video will be very simple. While we were shooting for the video, the college heads just told me to use the trailer that I made weeks before the performance day. Again, damn! They could have told me that last night. I already got my video outline, and a part of the video is already made. I just submitted the video of the trailer. During the event, our video is not played because of codec problems on the laptop used. They did not test the video or use VLC. I found that out through my friend. And again, DAMN!
I just wished I did not join at all. We did not win the gold. I failed a lot of units this term and was forced to transfer to another school. P.U.T.A. 3 team is still better.

5 - The Ugly Truth About Dealers
Here in Manila, Philippines, there is a street where a lot of dealers of computers, parts, and accessories. In short, everything that has to do with computers, even repairs.
One day, I went there with my brother because we were finding a charger for a Toshiba laptop. We went to a lot of stores. On the first store, I gave the specifications of the charger. The dealer gave an Acer charger, and the current rating is different. He told me there is no difference in the current rating. My first thought is "Excuse me? I'm looking for a Toshiba charger." We just left.
On the next store, we found a Toshiba charger but the current rating is still different, and I heard the same things.
On the next store, we found another charger which is cheap but is a very large problem. The current rating is much larger than the one I'm looking for.
I still am not convinced on what these dealers are saying. There has to be a reason why the voltage rating and current rating is given in a charger. I want the exact one.
I went to the only store that I trust since I've been there before. I wasn't really planning on asking for a charger there. I just went there to let my sister's laptop checked. I then asked about the charger. They said that interchanging chargers with different specifications in dangerous to the battery. I knew that was the reason the battery of my laptop got damaged and won't hold a full charge anymore.
I just want to say to the other stores, "Shame on you! You just want to damage our items so we come back to your store and buy again. You call yourselves technicians?"
I learned to always go back to that one store everytime I go looking for computer parts.

4 - What a Relief
Our final grades for the semester just came out. I was very nervous as I opened the student portal. I have a subject that I suspect might fail.
After I opened it, I was overjoyed because I did not have any failing grades for the semester, despite the failing grades during the midterm.
It was a relief. I can now enroll without having the need to adjust my schedule.

3 - Dissidia 012 Review on Terra Branford
First of all, Terra is my favorite character. Her long range cheap shots, as I would call them, are my type of game..
Moving on to the review. I would say, "What have you done to her?"
My favorite move, Blizarra, just lost its hit rate because of its extremely reduced range and angle. It's the best cheap shot, and it would push a foe away from you.
Despite that, I got a new cheap shot which is Fire ----> Firaga thanks to the faster tracking of Fire.
I'm also loving her new costume named "Narshean Princess". Too bad her "Striped Dress" costume is DLC, and expensive!
I would just have to accept the changes made and change my battling style.

2 - Dissidia 012 Review (Sort of)
I bought a UMD of Dissidia 012 as a gift for myself last Christmas. There are a lot of changes compared to the original game.

- Chase sequence - These sequences are faster than ever, and the chase brv attack is very unpredictable.
- AI are smarter than ever - This includes harder chase sequences.
- Harder AP farming - The attack first AP chance doesn't appear anymore, and since AI are smarter, a single hit from the enemy before you land your HP attack will void the AP chance. Fighting without the AP on the calender will make you take forever to master those skills.
- Items are too expensive
- Bonus Line - Level grinding before completing the story will be pointless because of the level allowed in a gateway. Say hello to adjust level.
- Too much DLC - Come on, even costumes and BGM must be bought separately now?
- Awesome world map on story mode
- Awesome remake of the 13th cycle
- New characters who are fun to use
- Party battles - The characters that I don't use much will be leveled up as well! (Exdeath, Ultimecia and Shantotto)
- Reports which can be watched giving additional side stories about each character.
